Jianjie Zheng, Attorney at Law and Patent Attorney, graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a major in Measurement & Control Technology and Instrumentation. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Hangzhou Branch of Shanghai Xinyi Law Firm. He is also among the first group of Technical Investigators appointed by the Zhejiang Provincial Market Supervision Administration, a member of the Zhejiang Invention Association, a Mid-level Intellectual Property Engineer, an expert in trade secrets for the Yuhang District, and a consultant to the Anji County Taoist Association.

Since entering the intellectual property field upon graduation in 2015, Attorney Zheng Jianjie has drafted over 400 patent application documents, responded to nearly a thousand patent examination opinions, and filed over a hundred patent reexamination requests, achieving high grant rates, high acceptance rates for responses, and a high success rate in reexaminations.

He has drafted over a hundred e-commerce appeal and complaint documents, represented clients in more than ten patent invalidation cases, and handled a large number of intellectual property infringement cases, securing favorable outcomes in over 90% of them. Notable cases include:

• Successfully asserting a prior art defense for a leading domestic getter company in a patent infringement case, exempting it from RMB 3 million in compensation.

• Winning a patent infringement case for a tool manufacturing company, exempting it from RMB 5 million in compensation.

• Representing a streetlight manufacturer in two design and utility model patent infringement disputes totaling RMB 2 million in claims, successfully leveraging patent invalidation to reach a settlement at minimal cost.
